When in equilibrium, liquid delivers energy to its container or any other material it comes in contact with. These fall into two groups, hydrostatic load or outside force. The pressure applied by the liquid against a level wall is even at each point where it makes contact with the wall. All points on an object’s exterior are (website here) affected by vertical pressure when the object is thoroughly submerged in a liquid that’s in a state of equilibrium. This applied force is known as buoyancy, while the concept itself is known as Archimedes’ principle. When hydrostatic force is exerted on an area of liquid, this will become hydrostatic pressure. The containers that make up a city’s fountains, wells, and its water supply system are applications of these principles.
